Consider Hayden Optometric for Your Eye Care Referrals
HEDIS-Approved Diabetic Eye Exams
It is a well-known fact that patients with diabetes are at risk of profound and dangerous eye health issues. Regular in-depth eye exams are required to ensure the patient’s vision is safe. We have access to highly advanced imaging and diagnostic equipment, providing detailed insight into your patients’ ocular health.
Not only do we understand your patients’ visual needs, we understand your administrative needs. When we perform a HEDIS-approved diabetic eye exam, we always fax the necessary confirmation form back to the referring physician that day. With our proactive approach, your HEDIS score can remain in good standing. We will also rebook your patient on the day of their examination for next year’s exam, and do any necessary recall.
Patients With Myopia
Hayden Optometric is home to the HALT system; an exclusive corneal reshaping therapy developed by Dr. Hayden. These gas permeable rigid contact lenses are worn overnight to gently reshape the cornea. When the patient wakes up, they remove their contact lenses and go about their day with clear vision without the need for contacts or glasses.
HALT Is also an effective method of myopia control. Childhood myopia tends to worsen as the child approaches adulthood. Corneal reshaping therapy and other types of myopia control help slow the progression of myopia, preserving some of the child’s distance vision into adulthood.
By controlling and limiting the eventual impact of myopia, we can reduce the potential risk of retinal holes, tears, and detachments as well as diseases like age-related macular degeneration and glaucoma.
